I haven’t read anything so inane in a long time as Brian Cookson’s “plans” to help women’s cycling - basically, it’s “do nothing and make team pursuit teams 4 riders” - but this part takes the biscuit. All the evidence shows people always watch women’s cycling when it’s on - the Olympics got higher audiences for the women’s than men’s races, the Worlds, everything that’s shown, gets huge audiences, and all the crappy video clips get watched the hell out of. But hey, that’s not what the UCI thinks….
