At dinner, we were the only team staying in our hotel (often we share hotels with other teams), it seems that the ‘better’ teams get to stay in the ‘better hotels’, today we were staying with many of the race officials. The guys were fantastic at cheering Shara and celebrating (with raised glasses) the stage winner. The support from home and Aussie riders everywhere has been amazing too.
As I write this, I am searching for novel places in my hotel room to hang my clean (but still wet) clothes to dry. Basics still need to be done, many more days of racing still to come.
